How a Near Death Experience Changed Her Life with Experienced Trauma Nurse Nichole Doane

On this episode, I interview Nichole Doane, a seasoned trauma nurse about her near death experience, how it changed her and put her on a path of doing the very important work of crafting resiliency in healthcare.

Nichole shares her story of how she set out to watch the solar eclipse in the most beautiful of places canyoneering with some of her fellow ICU nurse friends. And while out in the wilderness, in a moment, everything changed for her. She tells her remarkable story, her rescue and how she was able to find the beauty in the moment, even when she was staring death in the face.

Nichole is currently making a documentary film about her experience called 'Be Like Water' and all proceeds will go to search and rescue.

Nichole also offers amazing wisdom and advice to us, her fellow nurses and how being a patient changed how she sees the way we do our work.

Bring the tissues, this one is tear jerker.

Nichole - Thank you so much for such a special episode. It was truly a gift to get to chat with you.

XOXO

Nicole
